Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in an accounting role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
  • Knowledge of US GAAP financial statements and internal controls
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • A drive to learn quickly, be creative, and win as a team
  • Ability to meet hard deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Support accounts payable and act as a liaison for vendors to reconcile billing discrepancies
  • Support the accounts receivable invoicing and collections process
  • Prepare and book journal entries
  • Assist with vendor and broker management, including commissions processing
  • Maintain balance sheet accounts, including preparation of monthly reconciliations
  • Monitor and process employee expenses
  • Assist with the month-end close process
  • Prepare and analyze monthly cash expenditures and reconciliations
  • Support the accounting team by ensuring backup documentation is properly filed and organized
  • Assist with ad-hoc tasks or project-related responsibilities as needed to support the Finance Department
  • Walk through and document significant accounting processes and related internal controls to support the development of accounting policies and procedures
