Financial Advisor Associate

Summary

The job is for a full-time Financial Advisor Associate in Servus Credit Union's Hinton and Edson branches. The position involves supporting members with their banking needs, requires at least 1 year of retail banking or sales experience, a high school diploma, and a valid driver's license. Additional education/certificates are beneficial but not mandatory. The work schedule is flexible.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of retail banking or sales experience
• High school diploma
• Valid driver's license and own a reliable vehicle

Responsibilities

• Support our members with all their banking needs
• Prepare documents for member meetings
• Provide regular proactive contact and follow-up with members
• Handle discussions with walk-in members
• Process daily banking transactions
• Recommend products and services to ensure our members feel good about their money
• Gather and document all pertinent information required for the Financial Advisor
• Review personal accounts for completeness, accuracy, and compliance
• Open and review new accounts
• Prepare and enter loan application information
• Support branch activities to grow new memberships and strengthen our financial relationship with existing members
• Clearly and skillfully differentiate between credit union and competitor products and services

Preferred Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Finance (or related studies)
• IFIC certification
