Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or equivalent, is required
- 5+ years proven experience in finance/accounting positions
- Knowledge of general accounting procedures, reporting and expense analysis, and journal posting is required
- Excellent computer skills are required, particularly Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrated analytical, reporting, communication, and presentation skills
- Possess strong time management skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage several different projects at various stages with ease
- High emotional intelligence to be able to work in stressful situations with top priority outcomes
- Client service orientation
- Ability to work effectively within a remote environment and with remote team members
Responsibilities
- Prepare and send invoices to customers
- Post customer check, ACH and credit card payments
- Handle customer inquiries, billing issues and collections
- Receive, validate and record vendor invoices and ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors
- Maintain vendor relationships, address inquires and resolve issues
- Manage and process payroll to ensure accurate employee paychecks
- Responsible for financial forecasting and planning and maintaining budgeting and forecasting processes and models
- Preparing profit and loss statements, balance sheets and other management reports to forecast financial outcomes
- Maintaining confidential financial information
- Interact daily with executive management, project team leaders, sales managers and financial professionals
- Planning, implementing, improving, monitoring and supporting financial business information across multiple departments
- Reviewing general ledger accounts and preparing and adjusting journal entries
- Performing account analysis and reconciliation, including bank statements and general ledger accounts
- Posting monthly, quarterly and yearly accruals
- Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results
- Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements
- Coordinating activities of external auditors
- Providing management with information vital to the decision-making process
- Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes
- Evaluating accounting and internal control systems
- Evaluating the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as needed
- Developing and monitoring business performance metrics
- Assist with special projects as required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the professional service or IT industry, preferred
- Experience implementing and/or using MS Dynamics and / or MS Business Central, preferred
- Detailed knowledge and experience in the use of Microsoft Office Products, including collaborative applications such as MS Teams, SharePoint, and One Drive
