Financial Analyst

Summary

Join our client, a strategic financial consulting firm serving social enterprises and non-profits, as a detail-oriented Financial Analyst. Support CFOs by analyzing financial data and enhancing decision-making processes. You will create and maintain financial models, manage data storage, and generate reports, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility. Collaborate closely with the CFO team to deliver precise financial analysis and insights. This fully remote position offers flexible hours (9 AM - 5 PM PST). The role involves working with QuickBooks and other financial systems to provide actionable insights for clients.

Requirements

• Experience: 2+ years experience in data analysis and financial modeling with a strong background in Excel. Must have experience building driver-based, forward-looking financial models. Experience as an investment banker or in financial planning & analysis is ideal
• Skills: Proficient in creating complex financial models and working with large datasets. Attention to detail and the ability to work with financial data is essential
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to explain complex data and insights clearly to the team and clients
• Client Focus: Ability to understand the needs of clients and deliver data analysis that aligns with business goals

Responsibilities

• Financial Data Modeling: Create and maintain advanced financial models using Excel to assist with decision-making and business strategy
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze and track financial data, ensuring consistency and accuracy across reports
• QuickBooks Integration: Work with data from QuickBooks and other financial systems to ensure financial reports and data modeling are accurate and up-to-date
• Client Satisfaction: Ensure that all financial models meet the needs and expectations of the CFOs and clients, maintaining a high level of accuracy
• Collaboration with CFOs: Work closely with CFOs to provide ongoing support in analyzing financial data and delivering actionable insights

Preferred Qualifications

• Software Knowledge: Strong understanding of QuickBooks and Google Drive for financial data storage and collaboration is highly preferred
• Accurate Financial Models: Consistently deliver accurate and insightful financial models that drive business decisions
• Efficiency: Timely completion of data analysis and reporting tasks with minimal errors
• CFO Satisfaction: CFOs are confident in your ability to provide accurate financial insights and data that contribute to strategic decision-making
• Clear Communication: Effectively communicate financial analysis and insights to the team and clients
