Summary
Join Smartsheet's Finance team as a Senior Financial Analyst and lead financial insights related to the lead funnel, spanning marketing and product-led growth. This remote-eligible role, preferably located near Bellevue, WA Headquarters, requires strong analytical skills and experience in FP&A or a data-focused finance role within the SaaS industry. You will own financial analysis of the lead funnel, build models and dashboards connecting funnel data to financial outcomes, provide forward-looking insights, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and guide process improvements. The ideal candidate will have a degree in a related field, 5+ years of experience, strong understanding of financial metrics, proficiency in SQL and Excel, and excellent communication skills. Requirements
- A degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business, or related field (MBA or advanced degree is a plus)
- 5+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or a data-focused finance role; SaaS industry experience preferred
- Strong understanding of financial metrics such as CAC, LTV, pipeline conversion, and ROI analysis
- Demonstrated experience working with large or messy data sets β and turning them into clear, business-relevant insights
- Proficiency in SQL and Excel; experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker is a plus
- Familiarity with financial planning tools such as Planful, Adaptive Insights, or Anaplan
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills β able to explain financial implications to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- A knack for influencing others and driving adoption of better data processes across teams
Responsibilities
- Own financial analysis related to Smartsheetβs lead funnel across Marketing and Product-generated sources β evaluating funnel performance through a financial lens
- Build models and dashboards that connect funnel data to financial outcomes, including bookings, CAC, pipeline conversion, and ROI
- Provide forward-looking insights to guide marketing spend, customer acquisition strategies, and performance tradeoffs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Product, Sales, BI) to interpret trends, create shared definitions, and ensure data alignment
- Partner with FP&A leadership to support forecast inputs and scenario planning based on funnel and conversion assumptions
- Guide process improvements around how lead funnel data is collected, structured, and used in financial planning
- Synthesize findings into executive-ready insights, dashboards, and presentations that drive financial decisions
