Financial Analyst

Summary

Join TROOP, a leading provider of end-to-end meeting planning tools, as a Financial Analyst. Based remotely in Spain, you will manage accounting operations, prepare financial reports, act as a financial controller, and maintain financial models. This role requires at least 5 years of experience in finance within a global tech startup, a strong understanding of US GAAP, proficiency in NetSuite, and robust analytical abilities. You will collaborate with various teams and external advisors. Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in finance positions within a global tech startup
• Advanced understanding of US GAAP and revenue recognition; adept in financial reporting and tax compliance
• Proficiency in NetSuite and Excel/Google Sheets
• Experience in data analytics, including proficiency with tools like Tableau
• Robust analytical abilities coupled with a data-driven approach to problem-solving
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master’s in Finance or Business Administration is advantageous
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to excel both independently and collaboratively in team environments

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting operations, including month-end close processes, ensuring compliance with NetSuite functionalities
• Prepare accurate financial reports and analyses to guide strategic planning and business performance
• Act as a financial controller, overseeing internal controls, compliance, and financial risk management
• Maintain and refine financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and decision support
• Collaborate across teams to ensure alignment of financial operations with company objectives
• Support the financial consolidation and reporting for various legal entities within the group
• Assist with tax returns and filings, coordinating with external advisors to ensure compliance
• Help develop and monitor budgets and forecasts with the VP of Finance
• Optimize financial processes to identify potential cost savings and support strategic decisions
• Facilitate annual audits by working with external auditors, addressing inquiries efficiently
• Handle diverse administrative tasks, showcasing flexibility and a commitment to the team
