Requirements

  • Prior experience in a similar role (especially CASS experience/Safekeeping) will be considered a significant advantage
  • Big 4 experience to Assistant Manager or Manager level
  • Recognised professional Accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA or CPA)
  • Minimum 2:1 degree within a relevant field, with scientific or mathematical background, e.g. Economics, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics
  • Demonstrable interest in financial markets and working knowledge of the online retail brokerage industry
  • Highly numerate and analytical
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel proficiency
  • Excellent data management skills
  • Clear communication style
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Pro-active and driven attitude to taken ownership and work independently
  • Ability to work under pressure and be adaptable

Responsibilities

  • Ensure client funds and assets are segregated and protected in line with internal policies, regulatory standards and industry best practices
  • Involved in day-to-day operations, procedures and tasks of (1) the Accounting and Finance function and (2) the Safeguarding of Client Assets framework
  • Ensure all accounting records are reflected timely and accurately in the accounting system, payments are executed timely and PSPs and Banks balances are reconciled daily
  • Work together with the Financial reporting function for the timely preparation of Management accounts, Regulatory reporting, Tax reporting, daily KPIs / KRIs, and other reporting
