Financial Controller

Summary

Join our team as a Financial Controller and take charge of all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal control development. You will manage accounting operations, prepare financial statements, coordinate regulatory reporting, and ensure compliance. This role requires proven experience as a Financial Controller, thorough accounting knowledge, and proficiency in QuickBooks Online. The position is a full-time, contract opportunity based remotely in the Philippines, with work hours aligned with the US Pacific Time zone. A CPA or CMA designation is a plus.

Requirements

• Have proven progressive working experience as a Financial Controller
• Possess 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
• Have thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• Have experience with creating financial statements
• Be excellent QuickBooks Online user and administration skills
• Have a fully functional and up to date computer with which to perform duties
• Be willing to install next generation end point protection on the computer
• Be a current resident of the Philippines and can perform work from there
• Be willing to work during US Pacific time zone (8am - 5pm PDT, 12AM - 9AM Manila time) or during client hours as required
• Be open to a full-time, contract opportunity

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance
• Support month-end and year-end close process
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Additional controller duties as necessary
