Requirements

  • Utilize Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA) experience
  • Strong analytical skills and problem solving
  • A service-oriented mindset
  • Communicate effectively across many levels, building strong interpersonal relationships with engineers, designers, operational managers, and external stakeholders
  • Project accounting experience

Responsibilities

  • Manage and perform the day-to-day accounting operations including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliations, general ledger, cost accounting, and revenue recognition
  • Oversee month end close and ensure all transactions are recorded, filed, and reported properly
  • Prepare and publish all monthly financial statements and accompanying reports
  • Process payroll and associated processes
  • Manage day to day relationship with bank
  • Document business processes and accounting policies to maintain internal controls
  • Lead consistent improvement of operational processes and accounting systems to streamline the overall work and to automate processes where possible
  • Lead and/or assist in special projects
  • Develop annual company and project budgets with key stakeholders and oversee variance analysis
  • Reforecast expected performance, financial modelling, and scenario analysis
  • Assist project managers in preparation of financial reports to funders
  • Produce insightful management information and key performance indicator analysis
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses
  • Oversee the companyโ€™s annual audit process and liaise with external personnel where required
  • Ensure compliance with funder requirements
  • Oversee project audits where required
  • Prepare annual statutory accounts, manage annual tax filing, and R&D tax credit work
  • File and payment of VAT and payroll tax related item
