Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Fully qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified or equivalent certification preferred
• Proven working experience as a Controller with a minimum of 5 years of leading an accounting function
• Proven track record in financial management with a focus on crypto accounting
• Proficiency in NetSuite is essential
• Strong understanding of blockchain technology and cryptocurrency accounting principles
• Proven experience in financial reporting
• Extensive experience in regulatory reporting and compliance
• Proven experience leading the external audit process
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Strong leadership and team management abilities
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
• High level of integrity and ethical standards

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and IFRS
• Manage the accounting operations, month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
• Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Coordinate and prepare external audit materials, and lead the external audit process, managing relationships with auditors
• Implement and manage financial systems, with a strong emphasis on NetSuite, to streamline operations and enhance reporting capabilities
• Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions
• Oversee tax planning and compliance, including cryptocurrency tax implications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and business growth
• Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements, including preparing and submitting regulatory reports to relevant authorities
• Stay updated with changes in financial regulations and ensure the company’s financial practices are in line with the latest requirements
