Summary
Join our team as a Financial Ops Consultant and leverage your expertise in credit card settlement processes and analytical skills to help our clients thrive. You will play a critical role in guiding clients through settlement and accounting processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency during portfolio conversions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide tailored training, and serve as a trusted consultant to help clients optimize their general ledger systems. This is a remote position (except CA & HI), offering a 6-month contract with a possible extension, paying $25-27/hr. The role requires strong analytical skills, exceptional communication skills, and experience in credit card settlement and financial services. You will be responsible for leading pre-conversion analysis, serving as the primary client contact, facilitating training, optimizing accounting processes, and ensuring quality assurance.
Requirements
- Experience : 5+ years in credit card settlement or related financial services
- 3+ years in Visa/MasterCard industry services (credit cards, debit cards, stored value cards, etc.)
- 2+ years using Microsoft Office (advanced proficiency in Word and Excel required)
- 1+ year working remotely
- Strong analytical skills and math aptitude to solve complex problems
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to build trust and clarity with clients
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and meet deadlines
- Basic accounting knowledge to assist clients with general ledger reconciliation
- A proactive problem-solver who researches thoroughly, digs deep for solutions, and approaches challenges with enthusiasm and adaptability
Responsibilities
- Lead Pre-Conversion Analysis : Conduct in-depth reviews of clients’ general ledger systems, acting as a consultant to map their chart of accounts to settlement applications with precision
- Serve as Primary Contact : Be the go-to resource for client staff, addressing settlement process concerns and ensuring accuracy to minimize financial risks and liabilities
- Facilitate Tailored Training : Develop and deliver customized training plans in collaboration with the Training Department, providing hands-on support for two weeks post-conversion (with potential for extended support as needed)
- Optimize Accounting Processes : Analyze clients’ chart of accounts and recommend best practices for recording daily settlement transactions, ensuring clarity and compliance
- Drive Continuous Improvement : Partner with Creative Media and Training teams to update and enhance training materials, improving the delivery of settlement education
- Provide Ongoing Support : Respond promptly to open tickets from clients, offering guidance on daily settlement challenges and maintaining strong relationships
- Ensure Quality Assurance : Review client procedures, identify potential risks, and recommend strategies to minimize financial liability while keeping relevant teams informed of critical issues
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Workday and FDR systems (preferred)
- Education : Bachelor’s degree preferred
