Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

Summary
Join ChowNow as the FP&A Manager and create, update, and maintain financial models and forecasts. You will assess ChowNow’s financial health, partner with departments on budgeting, and implement an FP&A planning tool. Analyze cost-efficiency, compare results against budgets, and identify growth opportunities. Develop reporting packages for senior management and the Board of Directors, and assist Investor Relations. This remote role, based in the US, reports to the Senior Director of FP&A and has no direct reports. ChowNow prioritizes restaurants, diversity, and proactive employees who consistently exceed expectations.
Requirements
- Have 5+ years experience in a FP&A role
- Have a Strong background in B2B SaaS and a deep understanding of SaaS metrics
- Possess advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with financial modelling
- Have a high attention to detail as deliverables will often be presented to senior management where accuracy is essential
- Have strong presentation skills as you will be required to communicate complex information in a simplified manner
- Have strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with employees of all levels
- Are comfortable in a fast-paced, scrappy work environment and you’re not afraid to ask probing questions
- Have a proven ability to make data-informed decisions and thrive in a dynamic environment under short timelines with changing priorities
- Have Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive solutions proactively while working with minimal direction
Responsibilities
- Create, update, and maintain financial models and detailed forecasts of ChowNow’s future operations
- Assess and track ChowNow’s overall financial health, primarily by using key financial ratios common to SaaS companies and marketplaces
- Partner with individual departments to prepare budgets
- Implement, own, maintain and run an FP&A planning tool
- Examine and evaluate the cost-efficiency of each department, in light of what percentage of the company’s financial resources each department consumes
- Compare historical operating results against budgets and forecasts to explain differences in performance and make improvements going forward
- Consider opportunities for ChowNow to expand or grow; map out growth plans, including capital expenditures and investments
- Evaluate new investments or products by investigating return on investment
- Build monthly and quarterly reporting packages for the senior management team and the Board of Directors
- Assist Investor Relations with quarterly earnings and other external communications
Preferred Qualifications
Experience managing and operating an FP&A planning software for SMBs; familiarity with Cube is a plus, and implementation experience is highly desirable
