Summary
Join Vidyard's Finance team as a Manager, Financial Reporting! Reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer, you will lead a team, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, driving process improvements and scalability. This remote role, open to Canadian candidates, offers the chance to enhance financial transparency and shape Vidyard's financial infrastructure. You will mentor your team and partner with other departments to optimize billing and reporting systems. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 5+ years of experience, and strong IFRS knowledge.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, or related roles, with demonstrated experience in team management
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting standards, and accounting principles
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail, and ability to review financial information for accuracy and completeness
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in using accounting software (Sage/Intacct, Zuora, STripe and Salesforce preferred) as well as MS Office Suite and Google Docs
- Proactive mindset with the ability to identify process improvement opportunities and implement changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness
Responsibilities
- Review monthly and quarterly financial statements to ensure compliance with IFRS and collaborate with the CAO and CFO to prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc financial reports and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders
- Review and oversee accounting functions, processes, reconciliations, etc. to ensure accurate and timely processing of transactions in accordance with IFRS, as well as seamless execution of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and financial reporting standards, while guiding team members to maintain adherence and best practices
- Provide timely and accurate financial analysis to support the CFO and CAO in strategic decision-making
- Develop and implement new financial policies, processes, and technologies in collaboration with the CAO
- Own and manage finance billing systems (e.g., Stripe) and cross-functional billing and reporting systems (e.g., Zuora)
- Mentor, coach, and develop team members by providing feedback, training, and professional development opportunities
- Partner with cross-functional leaders and teams, including Revenue Operations, Product, and Development, to address billing solutions, account changes, SKU updates, and ensure scalable financial systems and processes
- Coordinate the annual audit process alongside the CAO, managing audit requests and financial reporting requirements
- Support CFO and CAO with additional tasks and actively contribute to broader team goals and initiatives
