GRF CPAs & Advisors is hiring a Tax Accountant for their For-Profit Tax practice. The role involves preparing tax returns and organizing client data. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience, 1-3 years of related experience, proficiency with Microsoft Office, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred, but will consider tax preparation experience in lieu of Bachelor's Degree
• 1-3 years of related experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (excel, word)
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive firm and client information
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and timelines
• Ability to work independently, use sound judgment and prioritize tasks
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Prepares individual, corporate, partnership and S-corporation tax returns
• Reviews information submitted by client for completeness
• Organizes & assembles client’s tax data for accurate completion of tax returns
• Makes adjusting entries and completes trial balances in order to prepare a tax return
• Responds to tax notices of any sort and does initial drafts of any letters required
• Utilizes various software to perform all job functions
• Meets time constraints and client deadlines
