Forward Deployed Engineer Architect

Summary

Join Sweed, a product-driven startup, as a Forward Deployed Engineer (Architect) and work remotely to maintain and optimize our all-in-one cannabis retail platform. We're reimagining how cannabis retailers operate by combining various tools into a single, seamless solution. You will be part of a team of 180 people, working with clients and contributing to internal tool development and system maintenance. The role requires strong SQL and Python skills, experience with large datasets, and basic web development knowledge. Requirements

• Strong SQL skills — ability to write and optimize complex queries
• Proficiency in Python
• Experience working with large and messy datasets, including cleaning and transformation
• Basic understanding of web development — familiarity with front-end and back-end principles
• English: confident spoken skills at an intermediate level

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize the cannabis retail platform
• Ensure seamless client onboarding and integration within Sweed’s ecosystem
• Focus on Implementation, Architecture, and Support
• Balance client-facing responsibilities with internal tool development and system maintenance
