Founding Backend Engineer

Summary

The job description is for a Direct Hire/FTE Backend Software Engineer position at Hive Health, a startup offering digital health plans in the Philippines. Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant backend software engineering experience, preferably at startup/tech company
• Proficient in two or more of the following languages (backend): C/C++, Java, C#, Javascript, Python, SQL
• Experience architecting, building, and maintaining complex & highly available services
• Experience working with unstructured or non-standardized data, building data pipelines and/or database management
• High attention to detail and excited to learn new skills and tools

Responsibilities

• Own and ship key product features for members, healthcare providers, and internal teams, working from scoping to implementation
• Champion engineering excellence, establish QA/testing processes and drive continuous improvement to infrastructure stability and scalability
• Evaluate and identify improvements to the existing infrastructure to ensure scalability of our backend
• Collaborate with cross-functional colleagues in growth, customer success, medical operations, finance to respond to evolving customer needs
• Support hiring efforts to build a high performing team to execute against product roadmap
