Summary

Join Petlab Co., the world's fastest-growing pet supplement business, as a Frontend Engineer! Working remotely in the UK, you'll be part of a small, agile team building scalable solutions for our e-commerce platform. You'll collaborate with the team lead, design technical solutions, ensure platform performance and security, and contribute to architectural planning. This role requires 2+ years of frontend engineering experience with React and JavaScript, along with a strong understanding of programming languages and testing practices. Requirements

  • 2+ years working as an engineer on frontend technology (React and JavaScript)
  • Excellent understanding and experience of programming languages and paradigms (object oriented, functional)
  • Knowledge of software testing practices and tools for maintaining code quality
  • Integration experience via RESTful and GraphQL API’s (Shopify, BuilderIO etc...) for workflow and data
  • Experience building quality, and highly scalable front end applications
  • Excellent appreciation for UI/UX design
  • Enthusiastic self-starter that will be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to quickly build and maintain authentic relationships and trust with individuals

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with team lead on the Petlab products to understand the context behind what you’re building
  • Collaborating with tech lead and designing technical solutions that satisfy functional and non-functional needs
  • Ensuring the platform is performant, secure, scalable, robust, reliable and high quality, well tested code in the critical areas
  • Planning and evolving the technical architecture of the platform with the teams
  • Championing and sharing best practices to improve the team and code over time

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Next.js
  • Experience with CMS like Strapi
  • Experience working with the eCommerce domain and mobile application architecture
  • Experience with CRM systems and marketing automation, payment processing and customer engagement
  • Experience with AWS Lambda
