Frontend Engineering Manager

Summary

The job description is for a Frontend Engineering Manager position at GWI in Athens, Greece. The role involves leading the Aurora squad, which consists of front-end and back-end engineers, using Go for the backend and React / Typescript on the front-end, with a focus on front-end. The team owns and operates tools and capabilities in our Platform aimed at expert users who are well-versed in Market Research.

Requirements

• Proven professional experience as an Engineering Manager / Team Lead
• Track record of delivering successful non-trivial software projects and experience with full development life-cycle from ideation to production deployment
• Strong fundamentals around the web platform as a whole (HTTP/S, REST, Web performance & security)
• Hands-on approach and ability to gain quick insight into the technical and data problems
• Experience with modern front-end technologies and frameworks such as React, Typescript, and micro-frontends

Responsibilities

Lead the Aurora squad, which consists of 8 front-end & back-end engineers

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with back-end technologies and frameworks (e.g Java, C#, Go, Python, Ruby/Ruby on Rails, NodeJS/Express)
