Frontend Lead Developer

Summary

Join Paxful as a Frontend Lead Developer and lead the design and development of user-facing applications for our global P2P marketplace. You will leverage your expertise in frontend technologies to build high-quality, scalable, and secure web solutions. This hands-on role requires managing a small, high-performing team and collaborating with various teams, including product, backend, mobile, and blockchain engineers. You will be responsible for implementing best practices, mentoring team members, and ensuring seamless integration with backend APIs. Requirements

• 5+ years of frontend development experience, including team leadership
• Proven experience with React, Typescript, JavaScript ES6+, and state management libraries (e.g., Redux, MobX)
• Experience with integration and development of RESTful APIs
• Expertise in optimizing frontend performance and debugging complex web applications
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of deployment strategies and tools like GitLab CI
• Familiarity with modern testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Cypress)
• A solid understanding of testing strategies for frontend code

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of web-based applications using React, Typescript, and related technologies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features aligned with the product roadmap
• Implement best practices for frontend development, including code reviews, testing, and performance optimization
• Mentor and guide team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment
• Ensure seamless integration with backend APIs and other services, maintaining high standards for user experience
• Manage technical debt while prioritizing scalable architecture and maintainable code
• Build and maintain reusable components, libraries, and patterns to accelerate development across teams
• Debug and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring the stability and performance of Paxful’s platform
• Collaborate with QA and DevOps teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines and improve testing coverage
• Work with UX/UI designers to deliver pixel-perfect interfaces that meet design requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with mobile-friendly web development and responsive design
• Knowledge of Web3.js or similar libraries for blockchain integration
• Familiarity with analytics and user behavior tracking tools
• Experience working in fintech or cryptocurrency platforms
