Join Calendly's Engineering team and become a Staff Full Stack Engineer, contributing to the development of a best-in-class contact management and scheduling experience. You will leverage technologies like Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, Node, TypeScript, React, and PostgreSQL. Responsibilities include architectural design, technical leadership, cross-functional collaboration, planning and execution, and vision and strategy development. The ideal candidate possesses deep understanding of distributed systems and cloud computing, excellent problem-solving skills, and experience with Monolith to Services architectural rebuilds and Service Oriented Architectures (SOA). Requirements
- Deep understanding of distributed systems and cloud computing
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex systems to identify root causes and implement effective mitigations and resolutions
- Experience with a Monolith to Services architectural rebuild
- Experience with Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) (microservices)
- Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and propose new solutions or improvements that align with organizational goals
- Availability for participation in on-call rotation, ensuring prompt and effective responses to business-critical alerts outside of regular working hours

Responsibilities
- Architectural Design: Have strong opinions on shaping our technical strategy and North Star Architecture as well as guiding the design and implementation of services and components within your area
- Technical Leadership: Provide mentorship, guidance, and decision making to enable engineering teams to deliver the right solutions and outcomes
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, design, engineering, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Planning & Execution: Acting as a hands-on, key contributor on critical βBig Rockβ initiatives, delivering high output with high quality; participating in planning to define scope, milestones, and work breakdown in a manner that promotes incremental delivery and high impact
- Vision & Strategy: Developing and articulating the vision for a service and its capabilities, defining its strategic value, and overseeing its evolution to meet future demands and enhance our overall platform
