Summary
Join ZOE's E-Commerce team as a mid-level Full-Stack Software Engineer! You'll build and scale e-commerce solutions using Kotlin, Python, TypeScript, React, and more. With 2-4 years of experience, you'll contribute to a self-organizing team, write clean code, and partner with stakeholders. Responsibilities
- Work across our Kotlin and Python back-end services and TypeScript, React, and Next.js front end
- Contribute to a self-organising team with high levels of trust, collaboration, and psychological safety
- Write clean, testable, and maintainable code, ensuring frequent and reliable releases
- Partner with stakeholders to shape solutions and solve real business problems
- Keep accessibility, performance, and responsiveness at the forefront of development
- Break down complex problems into manageable, efficient solutions
Preferred Qualifications
- Have experience with at least one part of our tech stack and are eager to learn the rest
- Be proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-ambiguity environment
- Enjoy collaborating with engineers, designers, product managers, and business stakeholders
- Apply a growth mindset to Software Craftsmanship and best practices and apply that to the team, as well - changing its practices autonomously
- Prefer an outcome-driven approach rather than being tied to specific technologies
- Have experience integrating payment processors (we use Stripe)
- Have previous work in startups or fast-paced environments
- Have familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code
- Have knowledge of accessibility best practices and performance optimisation
- Have experience building internal tools for ops, fulfilment, marketing, or finance
- Have strong CSS skills and a passion for bringing designs to life
- Have experience developing and improving design systems
- Have excitement about running customer-facing experiments
