Responsibilities

• Work across our Kotlin and Python back-end services and TypeScript, React, and Next.js front end
• Contribute to a self-organising team with high levels of trust, collaboration, and psychological safety
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code, ensuring frequent and reliable releases
• Partner with stakeholders to shape solutions and solve real business problems
• Keep accessibility, performance, and responsiveness at the forefront of development
• Break down complex problems into manageable, efficient solutions

Preferred Qualifications

• Have experience with at least one part of our tech stack and are eager to learn the rest
• Be proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-ambiguity environment
• Enjoy collaborating with engineers, designers, product managers, and business stakeholders
• Apply a growth mindset to Software Craftsmanship and best practices and apply that to the team, as well - changing its practices autonomously
• Prefer an outcome-driven approach rather than being tied to specific technologies
• Have experience integrating payment processors (we use Stripe)
• Have previous work in startups or fast-paced environments
• Have familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code
• Have knowledge of accessibility best practices and performance optimisation
• Have experience building internal tools for ops, fulfilment, marketing, or finance
• Have strong CSS skills and a passion for bringing designs to life
• Have experience developing and improving design systems
• Have excitement about running customer-facing experiments
