Join a dynamic team as a GCP Technical Architect, leading the refactoring of a legacy cost transparency solution to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Requirements

• Deep knowledge of distributed databases, particularly Spanner
• Experience with healthcare data (claims, procedures, costs) is a plus
• Proficiency in cloud-native development, microservices architecture, and containerization
• Strong coding and scripting skills in languages such as Python (MUST HAVE), Java & Node.JS
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of designing scalable, resilient solutions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical details to non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Lead Application Refactoring: Design and architect the refactoring of a legacy cost transparency solution to GCP, utilizing modern cloud-native principles and best practices
• Database Management: Manage and optimize the migrated metadata and claims data stored in GCP Spanner, ensuring efficient queries and data integrity
• Procedure Filtering and Cost Estimation: Architect the application code to filter healthcare procedures, associate them with the relevant procedure codes, and build cases for cost estimation
• Rule-Based Cost Calculations: Implement logic to estimate treatment costs for providers by integrating rules and calculating average costs, to be shared with members
• Collaboration: Work closely with the CVS tech manager, as well as internal teams, to ensure the seamless implementation of the solution
• Cloud Infrastructure Design: Provide expertise in designing and optimizing cloud architecture in GCP, including performance tuning, security, and cost management
• Technical Leadership: Guide development teams in best practices for cloud architecture, Spanner database management, and app refactoring
• Documentation: Create comprehensive technical documentation for the architecture, design decisions, and the migration process
