Requirements

• Master’s degree in genetic counseling or equivalent degree with at least 5 years of experience
• Experience in prenatal genetic counseling is a must
• ABGC certified and licensed in home state if applicable
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently
• You are detail oriented and passionate about providing high quality genetic counseling and customer service
• You are flexible and enjoy a fast-paced work environment

Responsibilities

• Provide pretest and post-test genetic counseling for patients regarding BTO’s test offerings which include carrier screening with reflex single-gene NIPT, aneuploidy NIPT and NIPT for fetal antigen
• Draft test results in a timely manner to be sent to ordering physicians
• Assist with the development of patient and provider education materials
• Participate in the call-out of test results to providers as necessary
• Obtain and maintain genetic counseling licensure as required
• Perform other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

• Multi-state licensure preferred but not required
• Experience with variant interpretation preferred but not required

• For this position, the base pay range is: $122,400 - $132,600 per year
