Summary

Join Despegar's team in Mexico as a Global Chains Specialist and contribute to transforming the tourism industry through cutting-edge technology. You will identify and prospect new accounts in global markets, prepare sales presentations, develop a strong pipeline of prospects, understand client needs, and manage large accounts. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful campaign implementation, identify industry trends, monitor results, and report progress. This role requires a Bachelor’s degree, 2-3 years of experience in commercial roles (B2B sales or business development in travel wholesale preferred), fluency in English, and strong prospecting and negotiation skills. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in commercial roles, including prospecting and business development. (B2B sales or business development in travel wholesale preferred)
  • Fluent in English. (capable of delivering business presentations)
  • Strong prospecting and negotiation skills, especially at a strategic or executive level
  • Demonstrated capability in consultative sales and building long-term business relationships
  • High analytical skills to present insights, reports, and strategic recommendations
  • Passion for technology, innovation, and travel
  • Based in Mexico

Responsibilities

  • Identify and prospect new accounts in global markets
  • Prepare and present powerful, persuasive sales presentations that effectively demonstrate the value proposition of our products and solutions
  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospects to drive growth
  • Understand client needs, adapt proposals, and deliver value through tailored solutions
  • Manage large accounts, interact with, and close negotiations with key decision-makers
  • Collaborate internally with cross-functional teams (product, finance, marketing, among others) to ensure the successful implementation of campaigns and client solutions
  • Identify trends, competitors, and new business opportunities across the region
  • Monitor results, measure performance, and independently report progress
  • Attend trade shows or industry events
