Join a prominent international contractor as their Technical Director to lead the technical execution of a major marine works project in Mozambique. You will oversee all technical functions on-site, ensuring high-quality and safe work execution. Responsibilities include leading the Technical Office, organizing site engineering activities, overseeing design reviews, and acting as a key contact for technical issue resolution. The ideal candidate possesses a Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture, 15+ years of experience in large-scale civil or marine construction projects, and strong leadership and problem-solving skills. Requirements
- Masterโs degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture
- 15+ yearsโ experience managing large-scale civil or marine construction projects (> โฌ100M), with exposure to jetties or quay walls as a plus
- Strong leadership skills with proven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams
- Problem-solver with excellent analytical and communication skills
- Willing to work in a remote base camp (Mozambique) on a 6/3 rotation schedule
- English required
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the Technical Office, managing engineers, planners, BIM specialists, and other technical staff
- Organize and prioritize site engineering activities to meet deadlines while maintaining efficiency and quality
- Oversee design reviews, methods, and construction planning for complex trades (steel structures, marine works, concrete prefabrication)
- Act as a key point of contact for resolving challenging technical issues
- Ensure seamless communication between site teams, management, and stakeholders
