Requirements

  • 10+ years in accounting with substantial leadership experience in multinational technology or software companies
  • Master’s degree in Accounting; CPA, Chartered Accountant, or equivalent qualification required
  • Experience in managing confidential and sensitive information (PII) with the highest level of integrity
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale projects from inception to completion, adhering to tight deadlines
  • Comfortable working collaboratively with cross-functional international teams
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel internationally and accommodate global time zones in daily operations
  • Must possess a current passport and any necessary international travel documentation

Responsibilities

  • Direct Gurobi's global accounting team, harmonizing financial reporting strategies across diverse markets to drive organizational success and global compliance
  • Oversee comprehensive accounting and financial reporting across all subsidiaries, ensuring consolidation, compliance, and optimal foreign currency management
  • Lead the global financial reporting and consolidation processes, including complex intercompany transactions and transfer pricing strategies
  • Lead Gurobi’s Annual Audit process
  • Oversee the General Ledger close process monthly, meeting reporting deadlines
  • Ensure that all accounts are reconciled at each month's end
  • Help prepare our company for a potential IPO in 3-5 years
  • Communicate team objectives and individual responsibilities. Ensure everyone understands the team’s goals, their role in achieving them, and the standards they are expected to meet
  • Direct global statutory compliance and regulatory reporting, setting standards for adherence to local and international financial regulations
  • Coordinate with our Tax Manager and external partners like KPMG for global tax strategies, compliance submissions, and statutory audits
  • Develop and implement robust controls for foreign currency transactions, including risk assessment and hedging strategies
  • Spearhead the preparation, review, and enhancement of global financial reporting packages
  • Oversee the financial integration of new business acquisitions, ensuring seamless alignment with global operations
  • Evaluate and scale global financial infrastructure to support ongoing and future organizational growth
  • Invest in training and professional development to help team members enhance their skills and knowledge. Regularly assess development needs and provide resources to meet them
  • Maintain open lines of communication with and among team members. Regularly check work progress and employee well-being to foster a supportive environment
  • Empower team members by delegating tasks that match their skills and career aspirations

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Big 4 or large regional public accounting experience is highly preferred
  • Experience with public company financial reporting and SEC compliance is a plus
