Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in payroll, ideally with international scope or across multiple entities and/or multiple payroll systems
- Knowledgeable in CA and multi-state payroll regulations
- Proven ability to manage complex, deadline-driven processes with a high degree of accuracy
- Excellent attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills across teams and time zones
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment
- Experience using HRIS and payroll systems; tech-savvy and eager to adopt new tools

Responsibilities
- Processing payroll across all Airspace employees including all Airspace entities and Employer of Record platforms with 100% accuracy and on-time delivery, which requires managing multiple different payroll cycles
- Maintaining compensation, health benefits, and retirement plans
- Registering the Company with state payroll agencies (payroll tax, unemployment insurance, paid family leave, etc.) and ensuring timely filings with those agencies
- Resolving employee inquiries quickly and thoroughly when they arise
- Manage payroll vendors and external partnerships, including vetting global third-party providers for service quality, negotiating SLAs, and resolving payment delays
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of international tax, social security, and retirement regulations in all countries Airspace operates in
- Reviewing and selecting payroll tools and vendors annually to ensure best-in-class service
- Leading efforts to automate and scale payroll operations, including transformational change
- Partnering with HR, Finance, and cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and establish global payroll best practices
- Performing regular trend analysis across payroll periods, and annual payroll audits
- Communicating payroll policies and updates clearly and effectively to employees and leadership across time zones
- Staying adaptable and solution-oriented to navigate the challenges of international pay cycles
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ADP is a plus; experience migrating payroll systems is a plus
- Familiarity with ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, GDPR, and emerging regulations is a plus
