Golang Backend Developer

Join TextNow's Trust & Safety team as a Software Developer and contribute to maintaining high customer satisfaction for our suite of client products. You will work with cutting-edge technologies like cloud computing, Golang, and microservices to manage hundreds of millions of user interactions. This role offers real-world experience with scalable systems, focusing on creating solutions for affordable telecommunications and improving user experience by preventing nefarious behavior. You will maintain and refactor backend systems, conceptualize new detection strategies, collaborate with other teams, and participate in on-call and threat management rotations. The ideal candidate is a passionate, efficient, and collaborative individual who takes ownership and can respectfully communicate with various teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and refactor backend systems to improve our existing detections in languages like Golang, PHP, and python
• Conceptualize new systems and strategies to detect, prevent and stop bad actors
• Work with Data Science and Site Reliability teams inform new and existing system architecture and strategy
• Work with our Fraud Analyst teams to build systems and automation to improve automated detection of bad actors
• Participate in a rotating on-call team, responsible for site uptime and critical functions
• Participate in a rotating threat management team responsible for monitoring and mitigating real-time threats as they appear on the platform
• Triage and debug issues that affect our customers
