Summary

Join a well-established Legal & Lobbying Firm as their seasoned Operations Manager, leading lobbying and government relations teams. Oversee and coordinate lobbyists and attorneys on state and federal initiatives, directing advocacy campaign planning, implementation, and assessment. Facilitate team meetings, generate weekly reports for executive leadership, and act as the main point of contact for project challenges. Track project schedules and deliverables, occasionally travel domestically, and cultivate strong client relationships. Create and execute operational processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. The role demands flexibility in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, political science, public administration, or a related field
  • Over 7 years of experience in operations management, ideally within lobbying, government affairs, or public policy
  • Familiarity with legislative and regulatory processes at both state and federal levels
  • Awareness of compliance requirements pertinent to lobbying activities
  • Experience in leading remote teams
  • Demonstrated success in managing teams and overseeing complex projects
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Strong leadership skills with a background in managing professionals
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient in project management tools and reporting systems
  • Capability to prioritize tasks and make decisions in a dynamic environment

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate the efforts of lobbyists and attorneys on both state and federal initiatives
