Join Precision AQ as a Group Account Director and manage and grow a multimillion-dollar book of business. You will lead and mentor account teams, providing strategic consultation and client relationship management. This remote position requires extensive experience in the pharma/healthcare agency sector and strong leadership skills. Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 10 years of pharma/healthcare agency experience
- May require travel domestically including overnight stays
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); Internet
Responsibilities
- Provide solid insights to strategic development process with internal and external teams
- Expert in one or more industry segments
- Has or develop deep familiarity with client’s market, including disease state, treating clinicians and influencers and their corresponding professional societies, competitive companies and technologies, and current and future state of treatment
- Consistently is a go-to person for business insights
- Understand how bigger marketing mix integrates/impacts the client’s business and applies that knowledge in client consultation and internal discussions
- Develop working relationships with director-level client partners as well as core brand team
- Touch base with senior-level clients regularly, to ferret out any opportunities or issues early
- Develop and maintain senior-level relationships at agency-of-record account(s)
- Create an environment for honest conversations, business growth and issues mitigation
- Support and represent the agency’s point of view at the highest levels of the client organization
- Demonstrate mastery of more junior account responsibilities and can comfortably provide training, coverage, and/or oversight as needed
- Supervise account team members
- Motivate and mentor account team to remain positive and push the boundaries
- Communicate clear goals and provide timely feedback to account team members
- Evaluate performance and skill level of account personnel
- Identify unmet training needs and training opportunities
- Monitor and balance scheduling and overall workload for the team
- Work across departments to ensure the success of daily operations and manages interdepartmental issues
- Provide guidance/mentorship to others (irrespective of department)
- Expand agency opportunities to other client departments or divisions
- Accountable for the forecasting, monthly and annual revenue recognition of assigned accounts
- Alert SVP/VP Accounts to upsides/ downsides related to revenue or forecasting
- Report early and often on any changes to the financial picture
- Lead agency understanding of financial implications regarding jobs/accounts
- Ensure that issues regarding clients/jobs are identified as early as possible and provides a rationale and guidance on next steps
- Expand agency opportunities to other client departments or divisions
- Participate actively in business development initiatives representing the account management team
- Mentor junior staff and encourages participation
- Continue to hone and perfect presentation style and agency responses to typical questions
- Maintain contact and open dialogue with an ongoing list of senior-level executives in the industry to mine for new business
- Participate in networking events
- Direct account team to oversee tactics
- Provide guidance to high-profile and/or new strategy/deliverables
