Summary

Empowerly is seeking a Growth Associate with a focus on In-person Community Workshop Facilitation. The role involves facilitating group workshops on college admissions topics, contributing to content creation, and research. The candidate should have relevant experience, bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, strong public speaking skills, and the ability to travel for in-person workshops.

Requirements

• Possess a BA/BS or advanced degree from an accredited college or university
• Possess bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, with professional-level communication skills
• Possess 1-3 years of relevant experience in college admissions, counseling, or a related field
• Possess strong public speaking and presentation skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
• Able to travel for in-person workshops throughout the Los Angeles area
• Able to work evenings and weekends as events require

Responsibilities

• Facilitate in-person and virtual group workshops on various topics related to college admissions
• Utilize knowledge of the college admissions process to provide actionable advice to students and parents during workshops
• Collaborate with the internal team to develop compelling workshop content that aligns with Empowerly’s mission
• Communicate effectively with diverse audiences, tailoring messages to meet the needs of students from various backgrounds
• Maintain open and responsive communication with the internal team, providing timely updates, gathering feedback, and proactively addressing any coordination needs to ensure a streamlined process
