Growth Engineer

Summary

Join Tailscale's growing team as a full-time Product Engineer and contribute to the development of our innovative networking product. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, from UX/UI designers and product managers to marketing and revenue teams, to shape product features and drive user growth. This role involves the entire product lifecycle, from ideation and strategic decision-making to coding and measuring experiments. We are seeking a motivated individual with a strong product mindset, backend and client development experience, and excellent communication skills. Requirements

• Demonstrate a strong track record of working with a product mindset and influencing product strategy
• Possess experience with backend and client development
• Exhibit user-focused design and problem-solving abilities
• Showcase cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrate the ability to give and process constructive feedback, as well as work independently
• Show flexibility to adjust to the dynamic nature of a startup
• Display an adaptable development and iterative mindset

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with designers, PMs, and other engineers
• Contribute creative ideas for product features
• Develop Tailscale product features collaboratively
• Conduct and participate in the code review process
• Enhance product quality and maintainability
• Influence roadmap with technical insights
• Create technical prototypes for potential features
• Incorporate user feedback and insights into the development process
