Summary
Join Western Digital, a leader in data storage technology, as a PCB Layout Engineer. You will be responsible for designing high-capacity HDD product PCBs, collaborating with engineers across disciplines. This role requires a strong background in analog/digital circuit design and experience with Cadence Allegro. You will contribute directly to the company's success in a fast-paced environment. Requirements
- BS in Electrical Engineering degree (or equivalent experience)
- 1-3 years of industry experience
- Knowledge of PCB design, layout, and timing constraints
- Experience with Cadence Allegro PCB Design tool, EDM Pulse library
- Knowledge of analog circuit design, digital circuit design, power supply design, high speed interface design, signal/power integrity
- Strong oral and written communication skills
Responsibilities
- Work with product design engineers to understand requirements
- Perform PCB layout of high speed/high-density value conscious PCBs
- Complete development of PCB layout, floor planning and component placement
- Work with mechanical engineers to ensure PCBA keep-out comply with product enclosures
- Manage constraints and ensure compliance with SI/PI, EMI/RFI, and Design for Manufacturing guidelines
- Generate manufacturing files and drawings
- Follow UL, European regulations, and IPC specifications
