Summary

Join Continental's global Infrastructure team as a Hardware Portfolio Manager, responsible for the strategic planning, development, and lifecycle management of IT hardware products. You will lead the standardization of client, server, and printing solutions, ensuring alignment with market demands and business objectives. This role requires strong technical expertise, project management skills, and excellent communication abilities. You will act as a single point of contact for vendors and customers, conducting market research and managing the hardware lifecycle. Requirements

  • Academic degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field
  • Strong understanding of hardware product development processes and lifecycle management
  • Experience with market research, competitive analysis, and strategic planning
  • Wide knowledge in IT infrastructure HW, Processes, Service Management, Agile and Scrum
  • Project Management experience in several significant IT infrastructure projects
  • Intercultural sensitivity, customer, quality and strategic centric skillsets
  • Good communication, negotiation and presentation skills required
  • English language skills - min. B2

Responsibilities

  • Global standardization of Client, Server, Printing solutions as well as for Hybrid Work and Teams Rooms HW
  • Leading the technical hardware coordination to define client and server strategy according to customer needs, business goals and market trends
  • Single Point Of Contact for the defined vendors, customer representatives, purchasing organization and possible escalations
  • Market research and technical evaluation of HW technologies and solutions
  • Global HW basket release and catalogue management for standard HW devices
  • Responsible for hardware life cycle, transition and communication management
  • Conduct regular Business Review Meetings and assisting in contract negotiations
  • Specialist in Client / Server architecture, HW standardization and provider management
  • Stay updated with the latest hardware technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and continuous improvement

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of purchasing reporting and processes is a plus
