Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years experience in asbestos and other hazardous building material inspections, renovations, and abatement projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, keen problem-solving ability, adaptability, and commitment to a career in environmental consulting
- Attention to detail for preparing daily reports/field notes, and documenting work activities for report inclusion
- Experience in preparation of cost proposals for the Work, managing tasks and projects, managing subcontractors, invoicing, and day-to-day project administration and management activities
- Ability to work as part of a collaborative team and follow Standard Operating Procedures
Responsibilities
- Manage and/or conduct hazardous building materials projects, including building surveys/inspections (asbestos, lead, PCBs, and mold/moisture)
- Manage/oversee asbestos abatement monitoring projects
- Communicate with clients
- Prepare proposals and task orders for project work
- Manage/coordinate subcontractors
- Conduct/coordinate building material surveys
- Perform quality control reviews
- Write reports
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification/license as an Asbestos Inspector in Massachusetts and other New England States
- Certification/license as an Asbestos Project Designer or Management Planner
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in environmental science or related field
- OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER training and annual refresher courses
- A commitment to prioritizing safety in all aspects of the job
