Hazardous Building Material Project Manager

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years experience in asbestos and other hazardous building material inspections, renovations, and abatement projects
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, keen problem-solving ability, adaptability, and commitment to a career in environmental consulting
• Attention to detail for preparing daily reports/field notes, and documenting work activities for report inclusion
• Experience in preparation of cost proposals for the Work, managing tasks and projects, managing subcontractors, invoicing, and day-to-day project administration and management activities
• Ability to work as part of a collaborative team and follow Standard Operating Procedures

Responsibilities

• Manage and/or conduct hazardous building materials projects, including building surveys/inspections (asbestos, lead, PCBs, and mold/moisture)
• Manage/oversee asbestos abatement monitoring projects
• Communicate with clients
• Prepare proposals and task orders for project work
• Manage/coordinate subcontractors
• Conduct/coordinate building material surveys
• Perform quality control reviews
• Write reports

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification/license as an Asbestos Inspector in Massachusetts and other New England States
• Certification/license as an Asbestos Project Designer or Management Planner
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in environmental science or related field
• OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER training and annual refresher courses
• A commitment to prioritizing safety in all aspects of the job
