Head of Cybersecurity

Summary

Join Booksy's global team as Head of Cybersecurity and lead the company's cybersecurity strategy. You will be responsible for protecting Booksy's products and internal systems against emerging threats. This role involves leading a team of security engineers, defining and executing the cybersecurity roadmap, collaborating with other teams, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. The position is fully remote, and the ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cybersecurity engineering, proven leadership skills, and hands-on technical abilities. Requirements

• Sound experience in cybersecurity engineering
• Senior level knowledge in at least two of the following areas (AppSec, CloudSec, NetSec, Security Monitoring, DFIR, Threat Intelligence, Endpoint Security)
• Proven experience in setting up and leading cybersecurity strategies
• Hands-on skills – ability to step in and code/configure if needed
• Collaboration skills – influencing teams rather than enforcing security by authority
• Expertise in modern cloud-native security (GCP, AWS, SaaS, CI/CD)

Responsibilities

• Leading and mentoring a team of five security engineers (AppSec and DFIR)
• Defining and executing the cybersecurity roadmap aligned with business needs
• Collaborating with Product and Engineering teams to ensure security is prioritised
• Staying ahead of security trends and emerging threats to evolve our security posture
• Ensuring compliance with industry cybersecurity regulations and best practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Additionally, experience with modern software development life cycle (CI/CD pipelines, frequent changes, automation)
• Experience with incident response and regulatory compliance
• Knowledge of cutting-edge security tools and frameworks
• Strong relationships with cybersecurity vendors
