Join Tide as Head of Engineering - Experience Foundations and lead a growing team, shaping engineering strategy and roadmaps. You will drive innovation in personalized financial experiences, reimagine solutions, and enhance mobile/web platforms. Partner with Product and Design teams, leveraging data for rapid prototyping and impactful solutions. This is a technically hands-on role requiring strong leadership, architectural expertise, and a focus on engineering excellence. You will define the direction for Tide’s connectivity, personalization, and product recommendations, leading the development of Tide’s design system and collaborating across multiple business areas. This role offers the opportunity to influence Tide's product portfolio and shape its global strategy.
Requirements
- 10+ years of engineering experience of delivering high-quality, customer-focused digital products
- Expertise in front-end architecture and scalability
- Experience in front-end development, preferably with Flutter, plus knowledge of modern frameworks, performance optimization, state management, and build pipelines
- Ability to translate strategic goals into a clear technical roadmap and effectively communicate the “why” behind technical decisions
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the direction for Tide’s connectivity, personalization, and recommendation of products
- Lead the development of Tide’s design system, experience simulators, and information architecture
- Work across multiple business areas to effectively get things done through constructive collaboration and data driven decisions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, Business) to enhance member experience
- Get directly involved in your architecture, providing hands-on technical guidance, ensuring best practices in software engineering, security, and system design
- Manage and mentor engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning
