Head of Finance

Summary

Join Whizz, a rapidly growing e-bike/e-moped subscription service, and lead its finance department. As Head of Finance, you will build and lead a high-performing team, establishing reliable financial processes, developing financial models and forecasts, and improving budgeting and cash flow management. This role requires proven experience in a senior finance role within a high-growth startup, expertise in financial modeling and forecasting, and a strong understanding of US accounting principles and regulations. Requirements

• Proven experience in a senior finance role, preferably in a high-growth startup in the US
• Proven expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting
• Proven experience with capital raising and/or investment funding on both sides, venture capital
• Understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations in the US
• Proven experience to build and lead a high-performing finance team on a day-to-day basis
• Readiness to work in a high-growth startup, which means the ability to build processes from scratch, not just maintain existing ones
• Russian speaker with excellent English required

Responsibilities

• Build Reliable Financial Processes: Develop and implement effective, transparent, and reliable financial processes, including day-to-day operations, accounting, internal/external reporting, budgeting, and analytics
• Develop Financial Modeling and Forecasting: Create and maintain accurate financial models and forecasts to support the planning of new products, geographical expansion, and strategic hypotheses
• Improve Budgeting and Cash Flow Management: Ensure cost-efficiency and financial control, enhance transparency, and maintain precision in daily spending while supporting the Company's active growth

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with inventory accounting is highly desirable or willingness to learn and understand the process quickly
