Summary

Join Fundraise Up as the Head of Presales and lead a team of Presales Engineers, driving technical engagement with prospects and ensuring successful platform adoption by NGOs. You will define and execute the presales strategy, fostering collaboration across departments. This role requires strong leadership, technical acumen, and experience in managing and mentoring a team. You will oversee technical discovery, solution design, and proof-of-concept engagements, while also driving customer feedback loops to influence product development. Requirements

  • 7+ years in sales engineering, presales, or a technical consulting role within SaaS, fintech, or NGO technology, including demonstrated people management experience
  • Deep understanding of technical discovery, data mapping, integrations (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Stripe, PayPal, Zapier), APIs, webhooks, and compliance requirements (GDPR, PCI)
  • Proven track record of communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences and tailoring solutions to meet diverse needs
  • Experience in developing technical strategies that drive sales enablement and product engagement
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, paired with a proactive attitude toward solving complex technical challenges

Responsibilities

  • Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing Presales Engineering team, fostering a collaborative culture
  • Define and execute the presales strategy, optimizing methodologies, processes, and customer outcomes
  • Establish cross-functional collaboration with Product, Sales, and Customer Success, ensuring seamless engagement
  • Oversee hiring, onboarding, and continuous professional development to enhance technical and consultative expertise
  • Guide technical discovery, ensuring seamless integrations, scalability, security, and compliance (PCI, GDPR)
  • Expand Sales Addressable Market by developing creative technical solutions for new use cases
  • Oversee impactful POCs and demos, ensuring technical resonance with stakeholders
  • Support the team in addressing technical objections and blockers, providing strategic guidance
  • Drive customer feedback loops to influence product enhancements and roadmap decisions
  • Equip Sales with technical insights, competitive differentiators, and use case examples to drive deal success
  • Lead RFP responses and technical bids, ensuring competitive, compliant proposals
  • Build strong relationships with key prospects and clients, addressing technical needs throughout their journey

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to scale presales teams and methodologies in high-growth, fast-paced environments
  • Familiarity with fundraising technology trends and challenges within the NGO sector is highly desirable
  • Experience working with or within NGOs and familiarity with online fundraising or similar technology ecosystems is a plus
