Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), User Experience, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in product design, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role, preferably in a high-growth tech or digital product environment
  • Demonstrated capacity to lead and encourage a team, showcasing a history of nurturing a creative and productive design culture
  • Extensive understanding of user-centered design principles, standard methodologies for UX/UI, interaction design, and visual design
  • Experience with design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, InVision, and prototyping tools, with a portfolio demonstrating a diverse range of successful design projects, including examples of design leadership and execution
  • Experience with data-driven design and usability testing methodologies
  • Experience working in Agile or Lean product development environments
  • Experience working remotely

Responsibilities

  • Design Leadership: Set the vision and design strategy for all product experiences, ensuring alignment with the client’s overall product strategy and business goals
  • Team Management & Development: Create, lead, and develop a growing team of UX/Product designers, and User Researchers nurturing a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning
  • User-Centered Design: Champion user-centered design processes, ensuring that all products and features are based on deep customer insights and behavioral data
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Success to ensure cohesive and scalable design solutions
  • Innovation: Stay ahead of design trends, emerging technologies, and standard methodologies to keep clients at the forefront of design innovation
  • Data-Driven Design: Use research, analytics, and usability testing to validate design decisions and continuously optimize the product experience
  • Collaborator Communication: Present design concepts and strategies to senior leadership and key collaborators, clearly articulating the rationale behind design decisions
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure high-quality execution of designs and provide mentorship to maintain a strong visual and functional product identity

Preferred Qualifications

Prior consulting experience preferred
