• Extensive experience in a senior design leadership role within a tech company, startup, or scale-up environment
• Strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional product design work, product thinking, and visual aesthetics
• Proven success in building and leading high-performing design teams
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience working cross-functionally
• Strategic mindset with the ability to translate business objectives into impactful design strategies

Responsibilities

• Define, communicate, and champion the design strategy across the organisation
• Drive impactful design initiatives, ensuring high execution standards within the team
• Utilise strong project management and operational skills to oversee multiple projects and deadlines effectively
• Lead the team in delivering high-quality product designs, emphasising product thinking, problem-solving, visual design, and aesthetics
• Maintain a keen eye for design details and ensure consistency in all deliverables
• Oversee the end-to-end design process, upholding the highest quality standards
• Mentor and support product designers in their professional growth and career development
• Build and foster a collaborative, innovative, and high-performing design team
• Actively recruit, hire, and onboard top design talent, ensuring alignment with company culture and values
• Maintain high team performance through continuous feedback and recognition
• Integrate design within the broader product strategy and business objectives
• Foster strong collaboration and communication with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, and Marketing
• Develop and implement effective design processes and workflows to streamline collaboration and execution
