Summary

Join Study Group Digital Learning as a Program Leader for a fixed-term contract (January 2025-August 2025) in Brighton (remote). Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline
  • Teaching experience within Secondary, further or higher education
  • Experience leading and delivering modules through project-based learning or a similar teaching method
  • Experience of organizing and facilitating
  • Ability to delegate activities, set deadlines and take responsibility for overseeing their successful completion to meet challenging deadlines
  • Experience of working with international students with a knowledge of their needs
  • Experience of data management and interpretation, and quality assurance
  • Experience of working online including delivering online lessons with different digital learning tools and platforms

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to Study Group’s strategic vision and growth through development of the Program
  • Communicate our vision to drive forward continuous improvement in the Program PBL modules and Masterclass series to achieve the aspirational targets for student outcomes
  • Contribute to planning and development including human resources; academic development; learning, teaching, and assessment; and academic quality assurance and enhancement, in the Program PBL modules and Masterclass series
  • Participate in Program meetings and events as required
  • Identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats and identify appropriate actions to solve problems and enhance delivery within the Program, PBL modules and Masterclass series
  • Line Manage Program PBL tutors
  • Provide effective and efficient academic management and co-ordination of Program PBL staff resources
  • Ensure the recruitment of staff is planned, timely and compliant
  • Ensure that the Program PBL team meet all minimum expectations/compliance in their duties and provide feedback on their performance
  • Take responsibility for academic standards, the quality of learning opportunities, the accuracy and completeness of published information in the Program PBL modules and Masterclass series
  • Oversee the effective operation of the Program PBL modules and Masterclass series
  • Oversee PBL modules’ student tracking and data analytics and ensure quality of feedback to students
  • Contribute to analysing data and feedback from the Program PBL modules and Masterclass series
  • Contribute to reports, analysis and evaluation for all internal and external scrutiny processes as directed by the Program Director
  • Gather and report feedback from Program PBL tutors for action
  • Contribute to delivering the Program PBL modules and Masterclass series effectively and efficiently, including teaching up to 10 hours per week
  • Work closely with the Program team to ensure that students at risk are being provided with appropriate support and, where required, timely intervention
  • Contribute to the delivery and assessment of provision
  • Support a cost-conscious working environment, at the same time as delivering a quality service and experience to students you are responsible for
  • Contribute to ensuring that the Centres are compliant in relation to Safeguarding responsibilities and that staff in the Program are aware of their obligations and requirements
  • Build relationships within the organisation and beyond
  • Develop close and effective working relations with the Program team and Program partners

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Master’s or higher degree
  • A recognised Teaching Qualification
  • Some experience of providing leadership with evidence of success
  • Experience of providing feedback to another person about their performance, which achieved a positive improvement
  • Experience of leading, advising or supporting others to develop curricula
