Summary

LaunchDarkly is seeking an experienced UX Design leader to take ownership of the User Experience and Product design, leading a team of designers, shaping the product design strategy, and driving customer-centric decisions. The role requires 10+ years of experience in User Experience / Product design, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in User Experience / Product design, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
• A strong portfolio showcasing a range of product design work, including web and mobile applications, with a focus on developer tools and platforms
• Proficiency in design tools like Figma, Adobe Creative Suite
• Proficiency in product analytics tools like Amplitude, Mixpanel, Fullstory
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies
• Proven track record of leading and managing design teams
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Familiarity with developer tools, workflows, and environments
• Passion for design and innovation

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of UX/UI designers and researchers
• Shape the unified product design strategy in alignment with the company's vision and goals
• Streamline the design process from concept to launch, ensuring high-quality design solutions that meet user needs
• Engage with customers and prospects directly to cultivate a deep understanding of our customer’s needs and pain points
• Champion user research and usability testing to inform design decisions
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices
• Define and track design KPIs to measure the effectiveness of design solutions

Benefits

Target pay range for a Level E1: $250,000 - $340,000* Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), health, vision, and dental insurance, and mental health benefits in addition to salary
