Requirements

  • Proven Leadership: 5+ years of hands-on experience managing web development teams in multi-client, multi-project environments focused on services websites
  • Digital Marketing & Web Development Expertise: Demonstrated success in leading web development teams within a digital marketing service—optimizing processes and driving exceptional results
  • Agency Experience: Prior experience in multi-client, multi-project agency environments is required
  • Technical Acumen: Possess a strong grasp of web development fundamentals and digital marketing technologies. While coding isn’t required day-to-day, you must understand coding principles and speak the technical language fluently
  • Effective Communicator: Excellent communication skills are a must. You should have proven experience communicating with Russian-speaking teams or be able to present a clear plan for effective engagement

Responsibilities

  • Lead with Vision: Oversee our website development team as if you were running your own digital enterprise, owning every facet of the process
  • Drive Profitability: Develop and execute your proven strategy to turn our web development team profitable through precise budgeting, resource management, and rigorous quality oversight
  • Deliver Next-Level Excellence: Ensure every project is completed on time, within budget, and meets uncompromising, next-level quality standards. Anything less than exceptional is unacceptable—it must be perfected before release
  • Strategize & Innovate: Analyze current challenges and leverage your hands-on experience to implement processes that yield measurable improvements
  • Full Ownership Beyond Project Management: This role is far more than traditional project management. You’ll control quality, time, resources, budget, and team improvements—essentially running a mini organization within our organization
  • Collaborate Effectively: Work closely with our CTO (Anton) and cross-functional teams to propel our digital marketing service to new heights
  • Arrive Ready: Come prepared with a detailed, strategic plan outlining your approach to turning our web development challenges into profitable opportunities
  • Diagnose & Act: Quickly identify pain points—whether they’re budget overruns, quality issues, or resource mismanagement—and propose actionable solutions
  • Demonstrate Expertise: Show that you’ve repeatedly taken over and revitalized web development teams in multi-client, multi-project settings focused on services websites (not just software or ecommerce sites/products)
  • Balance Vision & Detail: Combine strategic oversight with practical know-how to ensure every decision is both data-driven and grounded in real-world experience
  • Strategic Execution: Outline clear steps for both immediate and long-term improvements during the interview process
  • Leadership & Accountability: Manage the overall output of the web development team, ensuring cohesive, high-quality deliverables
  • Budget & Quality Oversight: Rigorously manage budgets and ensure consistent, next-level quality across all projects
  • Strategic Execution: Outline clear steps for both immediate and long-term improvements during the interview process
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with Anton and cross-functional teams to align our efforts and propel our business forward
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify pain points and transform them into opportunities for enhanced performance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with clients in the home services industry (e.g., plumbing, HVAC, electricians) is a plus
  • Fluency in Russian is a plus
