Summary

Join Obsidian Security as their HR Generalist and become a key member of the Legal & HR team, playing a pivotal role in shaping the organization's future. You will support people processes and systems, lead onboarding and offboarding programs, and serve as a trusted resource for employees throughout their lifecycle. This role ensures smooth HR operations and fosters a positive employee experience. The position involves managing employee onboarding and offboarding, acting as the first point of contact for employee inquiries, maintaining accurate employee records, and supporting HR initiatives. You will also partner with the Finance team to support payroll processing and global employee benefits administration. Finally, you will perform HR data entry and audits to ensure data accuracy. This role reports directly to the Sr. Director of HR.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in HR, preferably within a tech startup
  • Prior experience managing employee onboarding and orientation programs
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a remote setting
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and sound judgement
  • Self motivation with a collaborative and customer-focused mindset

Responsibilities

  • Create, coordinate, and deliver an engaging, scalable onboarding experience for all new hires across global time zones
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition, hiring managers, and IT to ensure all new hires are set up for success before Day 1
  • Continuously enhance onboarding content with business partners to reflect company updates, culture, strategic goals and ramping needs
  • Facilitate new hire orientation in collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless and enriching experience
  • Streamline and manage all aspects of employee offboarding
  • Administer exit surveys, coordinate transition logistics with managers, and process offboarding through our HRIS (Rippling)
  • Ensure clear communication with departing employees regarding final details, timelines, and next steps
  • Act as the first point of contact for employee HR inquiries related to benefits, policies, time off, and more
  • Provide timely, accurate, and empathetic support to employees, escalating issues as appropriate
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in Rippling
  • Support HR initiatives related to compliance, documentation, audits, and reporting
  • Own the execution of onboarding, offboarding, and employee transitions globally
  • Ensure each stage is handled with consistency, care, and attention to detail
  • Partner with the Finance team and HR Operations Manager to support accurate and timely payroll processing across multiple countries
  • Assist in the administration of global employee benefits programs, including enrollments, renewals, and responding to employee questions
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve any benefits and enrollment issues
  • Perform HR data entry and audits to ensure accuracy of data in systems
  • Help drive data accuracy and process improvement across HR systems and tools
