Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related business field
  • 9+ years of progressive human resources experience within pharmaceutical, biotechnology or life sciences industry
  • HRCI or SHRM Certification preferred
  • Experience supporting Commercial and/or Commercial Sales organization highly preferred
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies
  • Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors
  • Experience working with C-Level executives
  • Ability to coach employees and management
  • Ability to influence key decisions and stakeholders as an individual contributor

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills to collaborate with colleagues, stakeholders, and vendors effectively and clearly in a remote hybrid work environment
  • Ability to travel occasionally including overnight stay driven by business need

Responsibilities

  • Partners with assigned business areas to drive people and organizational development objectives in alignment with corporate and business objectives
  • Translates overall Business and People Strategy into impactful initiatives for assigned business units
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve culture, work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations
  • Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, organizational design, workforce planning and succession planning
  • Evaluates data patterns, and trends to provide proactive insights for HR solutions and program designs, i.e. Identifies training needs
  • Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met
  • Supports annual HR cycle deliverables to include performance management; merit and bonus awards; benefits enrollment, etc
  • Partners with leadership to grow the capacity of the organization’s key talent to include high potential identification and associated development programming
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
