Requirements
- 10 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field
- A strong understanding of corporate communications, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong project management skills, with a track record of leading large, cross-functional projects
- Expertise in digital marketing, content creation, and audience engagement strategies
- Strong experience in brand development, positioning, and identity management
- Ability to craft compelling storytelling across multiple platforms (print, digital, social media, multimedia)
- Established relationships with members of the press and a proven track record to forge new relationships quickly and genuinely
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to build credibility and collaborate optimally across teams and leadership
Responsibilities
- Project Management (50%)
- Creation and execution of strategic, goal-based, data-centric communications and marketing plans for campaigns and communities, usually on a rapid response timeline
- Craft and implement a unified working process to encompass advocacy, communications, and community building objectives
- Lead project management for StratComms Studio outputs
- Liaise with internal teams to plan and execute campaigns, events, and engagement opportunities to expand Mozilla’s reach among key audiences
- Supervise rapid-response marketing and communications initiatives as needed
- Strategy Development and Insights (30%)
- Collaborate with Communications, Mobilization, and Communities leadership on strategic planning and organizational messaging and development
- Develop and implement issue-specific communications strategies aligned with Mozilla’s goals and broader communications strategy
- Collaborate with core Marcomms colleagues on digital strategy efforts, ensuring our online social and web presence is optimized for engagement and conversion
- Measure and analyze the efficiency of communications initiatives, refining strategies as needed
- Copy Writing and Brand Building (20%)
- Develop audience-specific communications and marketing strategies that advance Mozilla’s key focus areas: data, education, and community
- Ensure integration of our style guide, verbal identity, and core messages across all communications channels and audiences
