Summary

Join Climate KIC as a Project Communication Manager (EU Funding) and contribute to impactful climate innovation projects. Based in Poland, Belgium, Italy, UK, Germany, or the Netherlands, you will manage communications for EIT-funded projects, focusing on entrepreneurial education, place-based innovation, and systemic transformation. This fixed-term contract (until 31/12/2026) offers a competitive salary and a remote-first approach with flexibility. You will develop and implement communication plans, marketing materials, and social media campaigns, coordinating with various teams and stakeholders. The role requires strong communication, project management, and storytelling skills, along with experience in EU-funded projects. Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working with project management for mixed media communications
  • Experience working with communications and marketing for education and learning organisations/ projects/ products
  • Experience or willingness to work with collaborative IT applications (we use Office365 and Microsoft Teams, as well as Miro, Zoom, Mentimeter etc.)
  • Excellent writing and storytelling skills, in particular related to climate, innovation or sustainability
  • Ability to distill complex topics into accessible and engaging content for diverse audiences
  • Strong research capabilities and the commitment to robust, evidence-based communications
  • Ability to develop compelling social media campaigns
  • Skilled in managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering to tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication, team work, networking and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with an international team, dealing with all levels of colleagues and stakeholders and in a multidisciplinary context
  • Ability to navigate shifting priorities through mobilising resources
  • Ability to work in an iterative, adaptive way anticipating next steps even when dealing with work-in-progress plans
  • Ability to collaborate with an open mindset, and a readiness to co-create and learn across functions
  • Ability to challenge assumptions thoughtfully and bring in fresh, external perspectives that enhance our communications approach
  • Ability to demonstrate creativity and an innovative spirit, always looking for smarter, more impactful ways to engage audiences

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of communication and dissemination plans
  • Development and implementation of marketing materials (digital and print), and social media campaigns
  • Coordination with (Communications) teams of other EIT KICโ€™s and engagement with the EIT ecosystem/ community
  • Writing and coordinating input for funder reporting
  • Internal communications and coordination between all teams working on the project
  • Supplier management (procurement, contracting, onboarding, quality and compliance management)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with Horizon Europe/ EU funded projects is preferred
  • Experience working with the European Institute of Innovation and Technology is a plus
  • Fluent in English , skills in Polish, Spanish, Greek, Italian are a plus
  • Experience using AI tools is a plus
