Summary

Join Peerspace as an Infrastructure Engineer and play a key role in supporting and enhancing our cloud infrastructure. Requirements

  • Have 3-5 years of experience in infrastructure or cloud engineering, with practical experience in managing cloud environments
  • Be proficient in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and container orchestration using Kubernetes/GKE
  • Have experience with infrastructure-as-code tools, particularly Terraform
  • Have familiarity with high-scale edge computing environments using CDNs and designing high-availability systems
  • Possess a basic understanding of security best practices in cloud infrastructure
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills to diagnose issues, optimize systems, and contribute to performance improvements
  • Have the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Maintain a proactive attitude towards learning new technologies and practices to further enhance our infrastructure

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of cloud resources on GCP, with a focus on Kubernetes/GKE environments
  • Utilize Terraform to automate infrastructure provisioning and ensure consistent, zero-downtime deployments
  • Support the implementation and optimization of edge computing strategies, including managing CDN configurations and designing high-availability systems for global audiences
  • Apply and advocate for security best practices across our cloud infrastructure to safeguard production systems
  • Collaborate with team members to monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement in our infrastructure
  • Work closely with senior engineers and other teams to integrate new technologies, share knowledge, and adopt modern infrastructure practices
