Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (advanced degree preferred)
• Proven experience in API development and architecture
• Proficiency in various API integration methods and technologies
• Strong understanding of scalability principles and strategies in API design
• Familiarity with performance testing tools and methodologies
• Solid knowledge of security practices to ensure data protection and compliance
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex API-related issues
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across teams

• Looking at performance engineering and planning for the next phase of Openmesh expansion
• Ensuring compatibility and effective integration with a variety of third-party services
• Developing APIs that seamlessly connect and communicate with external systems
• Designing and developing APIs with a strong emphasis on scalability
• Conducting thorough security testing to identify vulnerabilities and implement robust security measures
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify performance bottlenecks and areas for optimization
• Employing performance testing tools and methodologies to enhance API responsiveness
• Working closely with the development team to improve the scalability and performance of existing APIs
• Implementing strategies to ensure our APIs can grow seamlessly with the demands of our user base
• Elevating our APIs to institutional-grade standards by implementing best practices, adhering to coding standards, and ensuring the highest level of quality and reliability
